Our Team

Dr. Marcus Grüschow, Founder

After finishing his doctorate in psychology at the University of Magdeburg in Germany, Marcus conducted research at the Max-Planck Institute in Leipzig, Columbia University in New York City, and McGill in Montreal. At his current position at the University of Zurich, his main interests are the neurobiological foundation of stress resilience and human decision making.

Marcus lives in Zurich with his wife and son. He is a passionate drummer and loves long bike trips with the family.

Dr. Micah Edelson, Founder

Micah completed his PhD in Neurobiology at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel and is currently researching computational decision-making at the University of Zurich. His work has been published in numerous first-tier scientific journals and won multiple prizes.

Micah lives in Basel with his wife and two children and loves soccer and fantasy novels.

Dr. Christoph Rickert, Chief Product Officer

Christoph is a seasoned medtech entrepreneur, start-up founder. He is passionate about building new ventures.

Dr. Alexander Ritschel, Head of R&D

Alex received a doctoral degree in behavioral economics from the University of Cologne before conducting neuroeconomic research at the University of Zurich. His research expertise includes eye-tracking, decision-making under risk, heuristics, and preferences reversals.

Alex enjoys a good mix of playing hockey, board games, and running in the forests around Zurich where he lives.

Dr. Lukas von Ziegler, Chief Data Officer

Lukas is a machine vision and data science expert with a strong neuroscience background. He completed his PhD and worked as a postdoc and senior scientist at the Institute of Neuroscience of the ETH Zürich

Prof. Noga Cohen, Head of Training Development

Noga completed her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Ben-Gurion University and then conducted research at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel and Columbia University in New York City. She is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Haifa in Israel where she leads the Emotion Lab. Her work focuses on understanding the processes involved in cognitive and emotional regulation and how to use these to make more effective interventions.

Noga lives in Tel Aviv with her husband and 2 cats. She enjoys walks near the beach and watching ridiculous reality TV shows with her sister.

Dr. Lydia Hellrung

Lydia studied computer sciences and biomedical engineering at the Technical University of Ilmenau. There, she fell in love with the topics of neuroinformatics and medical imaging techniques. Lydia worked as a software engineer and did her Ph.D. at the Max Planck Institute in Leipzig. Since then she has been developing software for real-time neurofeedback and emotional self-regulation via the reward system.

Lydia lives in Zurich with her husband and son and enjoys spending time outside hiking, biking, or in the garden.
